Flight figures are economy return estimates for your home country. Choosing a different home country resets them. Nights, rates and meals are our planning estimates, not quotes. You stay in Surat for the whole lengthening phase, usually six to ten weeks per stage, with supervised physiotherapy; you fly home once lengthening is complete and the frame is off, and the bone consolidates at home with remote review. The Living Taller nights field is informational (6 to 10 weeks, covered by the package): accommodation and physiotherapy are included, and the 56 nights are an editable estimate that sets meals only. Turkey and USA nights default to 12 per stage: these are planning estimates too, so ask each clinic how long it expects you to stay. The 5-night nail-removal trip is a Living Taller default: confirm at consultation. Consolidation continues for months after you fly home, and those months are not priced.

Read this before the result. Limb lengthening is major surgery. Recovery takes 12 to 18 months for cosmetic cases, and problems, obstacles and complications are reported in the published studies (PMID 32670567). Gain is up to about 6 cm per segment, decided from X-rays, and candidacy is decided at consultation. This page lists costs. It does not recommend a country or clinic.
Techniques differ between centres (LON, motorised nails, external fixators); prices are not like-for-like.

Fitbone is a motorised internal nail with no external frame, and it is the only motorised internal nail we offer; the LON package uses a standard intramedullary nail with an external fixator. Choosing it adds a surcharge, quoted at consultation, which is not in any total on this page.
USD 15,000 to 16,000 is for bilateral tibial or bilateral femoral lengthening; what is included is listed below. The same list is on the cost page.
A lower quote covers only what it lists. These four items sit outside every price on this page, and they belong in your budget.
Plan for 12 to 18 months of recovery in cosmetic cases, with time away from work for part of it. The calculator does not price your earnings, because they depend on your job.
Consolidation continues for months after you leave. The home physiotherapy and local clinic visits are yours to arrange and pay for, wherever the surgery was done. The calculator counts only the X-rays.
Hardware removal is a second operation. US centre A prices it 1 to 2 years after surgery and US centre B up to 1 year later (sources 5 and 6). Choose the trip or the local option in the calculator.
Problems such as deformation of the regenerate and joint stiffness are reported in the literature (PMID 32670567). Treating them can add visits, procedures and nights away. US centre B states that "Medical costs from complications and nail removal are separate" (source 6).

Difficulties during treatment are common in the published series. A systematic review of 795 cosmetic patients reports a mean of 0.78 problems, 0.94 obstacles and 0.15 complications per patient (PMID 32670567). A 2025 meta-analysis of 489 patients reports, for external fixation, Paley problems in 56 percent, obstacles in 48 percent and complications in 10 percent, and for intramedullary nailing 37 percent problems and 42 percent obstacles with no significant complications reported (PMID 39801900).
These are published cohorts using different techniques, not Living Taller results, and they are not a prediction for you. Each event can mean extra visits, extra procedures or more nights away, and the cost usually falls on the patient: US centre B states that "Medical costs from complications and nail removal are separate" (source 6).
The default of 10 percent of the surgical package is a budgeting buffer chosen by us, so that a total does not assume nothing goes wrong. Set it to any value from 0 to 30.

Living Taller's international package is quoted from USD 15,000 to 16,000 for bilateral tibial or bilateral femoral lengthening (LON). It includes accommodation for the Surat stay and airport transfers, and excludes flights, meals, nail removal and home-country physiotherapy. Two Turkey packages published on the sellers' own pages are USD 21,300 and USD 26,400 for both legs of one segment. Two US centres publish USD 84,000 to USD 125,000 for a femur or tibia package (sources 1, 2, 5 and 6 below). Inclusions differ between all of them, which is why the calculator adds every line. A written Living Taller quote follows an X-ray review.
Lost income during a recovery of 12 to 18 months for cosmetic cases, physiotherapy after you return home, a second trip for nail removal, and revision surgery if it is needed. Published quotes from other centres say similar things about themselves: US centre B lists "accommodation and travel expenses after discharge" as excluded, and US centre A lists "Travel, housing, post-discharge essentials, extended clinical care, and hardware removal".
Most travel insurance policies exclude elective or cosmetic surgery abroad and the problems that follow from it. That is a general pattern, not a statement about your policy. Ask your insurer in writing before you book. One published Turkey package lists a "6-month complication insurance policy" (source 1); read what it covers and for how long.
The international package is quoted as a range, from USD 15,000 to 16,000, and the written quote that follows your X-ray review is the figure that applies to you. Consultation fee INR 10,000. Surgery fees are quoted after assessment. The package includes accommodation for the Surat stay and airport transfers.
